ABOUT
HOMEOPATHY
Homeopathy is a natural, safe, and gentle system of healing developed by German doctor Samuel Hahnemann in the late 1700's, who was dissatisfied with the aggressive medical procedures of his time. Homeopathy is based on using minute 'homeopathic' doses to stimulate and encourage the natural healing systems of the body to bring harmony between mind, body, and spirit. The body is self-sufficient with its own healing mechanisms that repair and preserve its structure and functions. Based on this fact, homeopathy is designed to stimulate and support this healing mechanism.

The most important principle is the "Law of Similiars" - the idea that a substance that produces a set of symptoms in a healthy animal will cure those symptoms in a sick animal. Homeopathic medicines are made primarily from natural substances such as plants and minerals that undergo a process of dilution and potentisation. These are administered in extremely small doses and thus are exceptionally safe.

During your pet's first consultation, which usually lasts about an hour, we will discuss your pets presenting complaint(s), symptoms, and the medical history. Also information about your pets personal characteristics, modalities (what makes things better or worse), preferences, sleep pattern, phobias, feelings, and sensations will be discussed. After the consultation I will go through a lengthy process of repertorisation, which means analysing all the collected information and working out the remedy. This remedy should not only address your pets health problem(s), but should also make your pet feel better in itself (e.g. more energy and vitality).
